How to Map Templates

This mapping should be a one-time set up, unless you consistently add new templates at your theatres.

To begin, open the Template Mapping module under the OPERATIONS menu in Enterprise Web.

The Template Mapping Module consists of three sections:

1) Theatre List: Contains the list of theatres in Enterprise Web for the circuit.

2) Theatre's Templates: Displays the templates associated with each theatre selected in the Theatre List.

3) Enterprise Web Template Mapping: Includes a list of Enterprise slots, with five predefined default slots (EW Default Template, EW Live Event, EW Sensory Friendly, EW 3D Show, EW Double Feature) and the option to add more as needed.

How to Map Templates:

  1. Click on a theatre in the Theatre List column.
    • That theatre’s Cinema ACE templates will load in the Theatre’s Templates column.
  2. Drag-and-drop the template you want mapped to the EW Default Template into that slot’s field under Enterprise Web Template Mapping.
  3. Do the same for the other EW template slots listed (assuming your theatre(s) have a corresponding template).
  4. IF you require another, not-listed EW Template slot, click the Create New Template Slot button and give your new slot a name (ex: “3D Template – No Ads”).
  5. Click Create and then map a theatre template to that new slot.
  6.  Once you have completed mapping all slots at one theatre, click Save on the top right of the screen.

  7. Next, assuming your other theatres have templates with the same names, you can click the Copy Mapping to Theatre(s) button and choose the theatres you want your original mappings copied to and then click Save.
  8.  You will then see a confirmation pop-up telling you to check the Theatre List on the left to see which mappings were successfully copied (ie: where template names matched).
  9.  Finally, for any theatres that don’t have fully mapped templates (ie: those that show a count as “Y of X mapped”  vs. “X of X mapped”), click on those theatres and map the differently named templates to the Enterprise template slots where applicable.
  10.  Once all your templates are mapped to the Enterprise template slots, you can then assign those Enterprise template slots to your CPLs mapped in Enterprise Web.
    • To do this, go to the Operations/ Title Mapping screen and click on a mapped CPL to open the Edit CPL pop-up. Then choose the Enterprise template slot from the Show Template dropdown.
    • NOTE: This template assignment is done at the CPL level to provide users flexibility in the event one title has two CPLs mapped to it that require different templates depending on which CPL is chosen to play in an auditorium (ex: a 5.1 CPL/template and an ATMOS CPL/template).
    • However, for Double/Triple Features, the template slot assigned to Part 1 (the first CPL mapped) will play on all CPLs mapped to the title.
  11. If you have a Non-Digital Title (with no CPLs mapped to it), then you will map the template to the TITLE instead of the mapped CPLs. The business rules that apply to this code are as follows:
    • If there is only a template assigned to the TITLE, use that template for all (or in the case of Non-Digital titles, no) CPLs mapped to the title.
    • But if there are templates assigned to the individually-mapped CPLs, ALWAYS use that /those template(s) instead.
      • Rule = CPL templates override Title templates if available.
  12.  When the titles sync to Cinema ACE at each theatre, the mapped ACE template will be assigned to that title’s shows (again, based on the CPL playing per auditorium).
